Dame Ellen MacArthur to visit South Tyneside

South Tyneside Business Week 2009 features a range of events including an Environmental Business Evening on 29th June 2009. 

BT South Tyneside, in support of this, have arranged for Dame Ellen MacArthur to speak at the event. 

The evening will consist of three guest speakers, featuring two local businesses and Dame Ellen MacArthur DBE. This will be followed by a networking opportunity with local businesses who provide environmental services and efficiencies ranging from renewable energy, smarter working and recycling to name but few.

The evening aims to showcase to local businesses, that by considering the environment they can have a positive impact on their sustainability, not only in environmental terms, but also through cost reduction and competitiveness in today’s difficult economic climate.
