BTST Success At Two Regional Awards Events

2011 April 6

BT South Tyneside BTST had two successful nights at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) awards 2011 and the Tyneside & Northumberland heat of the North East Business (NEB) awards 2010.

The CIPD awards are about celebrating the individuals who make a difference and how businesses help manage and develop such people successfully.  BTST’s entry was in the Employee Engagement category where we came runner up due to the dynamic nature of our engagement initiatives.  The night was great exposure, with a two page spread being featured in the local Evening Chronicle newspaper and an important part of spreading our Service story to businesses.

BTST also successfully entered the NEB awards, in the Services Award category, and attended the regional heat on the 17th March 2011.  The night looked to highlight the strength, ambition and diversity of businesses in the North East.  Our entry was based on the work our Customer Service centre has taken to develop our Customer Relationship Management system.

It can now be updated dynamically to prompt Customer Service operatives to offer our customer’s a variety of help involving other systems.  This includes house owners whose homes have been identified as needing a fire safety assessment, so that the operative can offer that service without the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) having to knock on their door unannounced.

We won the award, and are now looking to compete in the Regional Finals in April.

We at BTST are very proud of these achievements as they recognise the unique and innovative virtues of our Services.
